According to a survey, students are generally satisfied with the student services of the University Centre of South Iceland.
In order to be able to meet the needs of students as much as possible, a service survey was conducted for the users of the student services of the University Centre of South Iceland during the spring months. The aim of the survey was to assess user satisfaction according to the student- and test services provided in Fjölheimar.
Many interesting and enjoyable things came to light during the processing, which will be shared here with the readers.
The response was good, but 80.4% of the participants were very satisfied with the service, while 15.2% were satisfied. About 4.3% answered neither. Most of those who use the student services are students in university studies, either in distance learning or in a combination of on site and distance learning. There are also some high school students who use the service, and some who do other types of studies, such as continuing education or specific distance learning courses.
There is often hustle and bustle around exam time when students flock to take exams, which calls for a lot of planning. Christmas exams and spring exams hold their own, but in addition, the universities have begun to emphasize assessment days and mid-term exams, which keep students on their toes throughout the semester. Elínborg Ingimundardóttir takes good care of the students, but she is the customer service representative of the student services and bears the heat and weight of the organization that accompanies the reception of students.
When the participants were asked about the student services, there was general satisfaction with the reception and administration of exams. Among other things, the following points were made:
- GREAT PEOPLE WORK THERE
- VERY GOOD SERVICE
- GOOD COMMUNICATION
Students were also asked about the facility. On the one hand, they asked about student facilities, such as reading booths, and on the other hand, about the coffee facilities.
More and more people are beginning to see the benefits of coming to Fjölheimar, which is a very pleasing development. Slight growing pains accompanied the increase which has been corrected. Lights have been added to the reading booths and there are plenty of multi-connectors for students. That was what the students called for and the call was answered with satisfaction.
The coffee facility is a multi-purpose space that is offered to students for use. There are nice facilities that are very suitable for small groups for group work as well as for individuals who want to use the space for reading. It would be nice to see better use of the coffee facilities and it is hoped that with more students, we will see more people in the facilities.
Efforts have been made to keep the prices to a minimum, and most people are happy with the tariffs as they are today. It is important to keep the price reasonable to meet the needs of students, and this has been done to the best of our ability.
Students receive the best thanks for participating in the survey and are always welcome in Fjölheimar. Finally, you can book an exam, apply for a card and get more information by sending an email to prof@hfsu.is. Information about the price list and the facilities in Fjölheimar can also be found here .
Good luck to you.
