Meeting management course

Meeting management with Katrín Jakobsdóttir

How many meetings have you attended that you felt did not serve their purpose?
In general, our jobs require us to attend many meetings. They vary in form and purpose: we attend meetings in companies, workplaces, sports clubs, homeowners’ associations, staff rooms, and parish councils. Meetings can be open or closed; they may serve to bring forward diverse viewpoints and create discussion, or they may revolve around making decisions in a formal manner. Whether they are working meetings, discussion meetings, or decision-making meetings, it matters how they are organized and how they are managed.

Who is the course for? All those who need to manage meetings: managers, leaders, middle managers, and people active in community or social organizations.

What are the benefits? The benefits of strong meeting management and organization can be extensive. It saves time and improves communication. It brings forward different perspectives in discussions and lays the foundation for better decisions.

Course content This is a two-hour course where we will first review the key elements of meeting management and how they relate to different management styles.
