Did you apply for the South Iceland Development Fund?

Allocation from the South Iceland Development Fund took place on the 9th. of April, but many projects are involved here at the University Center of South Iceland close to the application deadline. We would like to congratulate all those who received funding and look forward to seeing the results of the projects.

It is not a given to receive a grant and you often have to apply more than once before you succeed. It is therefore important to remember that Rome was not built in a day and many of the projects that receive funding have been shaped and developed for a long time. They have even been refused more than once, which requires enormous perseverance on the part of those behind the projects.

We therefore want to remind all entrepreneurs not to give up, projects often take shape in this process and become even stronger. There are various ways that can be used to build the foundation, but here are some very good toolkits for entrepreneurs to rely on. In addition, it is good to be well in advance to apply for the projects and start the application process as soon as they open. The application portal saves the process which gives applicants the opportunity to weigh and evaluate the project in the process.

The next allocation will take place in the fall of 2024, so we encourage you to continue working on your ideas and give yourself plenty of time to apply this fall.

Good luck!
