Micro-credential: 18 ECTS (3×6 ECTS courses)
Entrepreneurship and innovation present themselves as a way for an individual to become a creative participant in society by producing new products or services. These micro-credential courses are designed for anyone who wants to understand how to take the first steps towards transforming their ideas into reality, gaining insights into the startup ecosystem in Iceland, and acquiring a critical understanding of how innovation and entrepreneurship can shape our society.
To support people on this journey, the University Association of South Iceland, in collaboration with Bifröst University, has introduced a new university-level course (micro-study): Entrepreneurship in Iceland .
Facilities at Háskólafélag Suðurlands, (University Centre of South Iceland)
University Centre of South Iceland offers students from South Iceland who enroll in the course facilities for one local session with teachers for each of the three courses. The sessions take place in Selfoss and give students the opportunity to directly interact with teachers and fellow students. A minimum number of participants is expected for a local session to take place.
In addition, the University Centre of South Iceland provides students with individualized assistance, guidance and advice, free of charge to all, in Icelandic or English – according to each individual’s needs. This helps ensure that students have the appropriate tools and resources to develop their own ideas and innovation.
