Great interest in the Hreiðrið grant day. About 40 people came to seek inspiration and guidance.

There was a very good turnout at the Hreiðrið grant day on Thursday, February 20th.

Hreiðrið Entrepreneurship Center held a successful grant day for those who want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the South Iceland Development Fund. The application deadline for the fund is 4. March, and therefore the goal was to provide insight into the process and share the experiences of those who have received grants.
The event took place in Fjölheimar, where Hreiðrið is located, and began at 3 p.m. The turnout was great – a total of 40 people came to listen to diverse and inspiring stories from grantees from different sectors.
Anna Greta, founder of Meta Geta, discussed how the grants have helped her develop a quality system for preschools and primary schools. Musician Sigurgeir Skafti shared his experiences on how grants can be used in music projects, and Herdís, the director of Skálholt Church, told about numerous projects for which she has received grants.
Marta from Horseday and Fjóla from Live Foods vegan cheese making presented their journey in grant applications. Both stories were extremely interesting and clearly showed how different paths innovative companies can take in the grant landscape.
The scholarship day was a great success and provided valuable insight into the many opportunities that the South Iceland Development Fund can bring.
We appreciate your participation and are excited to see how many people will apply for the spring allocation of the development fund – and who knows, we may see exciting new projects blossom as a result!
