The researcher of the month is part of the Atvinnubrú project, which formally began in the spring of 2024.
By introducing researchers and their projects, we want to draw attention to the work that takes place in South Iceland when it comes to research. There are many projects that are done behind the scenes and we find it fun to show the work that researchers do for our benefit and information. We also think it is important to introduce the work of researchers to the next generation who will take over and show what opportunities lie behind diverse education.
The researchers in 2024 all have one thing in common: they have collected data outdoors in the southern countryside in typical Icelandic weather, with red hands and often with wet fingers. But all of this is for the benefit of research that is useful in many ways, and we would like to thank all the participants who gave us insight into their work last year.
We would like to continue with these presentations and encourage interested researchers to contact us if they would like to participate this year by sending us an email at helga@hfsu.is .
Here is a list of the researchers who gave us a glimpse of their work in 2024:
